Motherhood gave me a lot. I became more focused in the things i'm doing. I became more confident. I've overcome some fears i had, fears that i never thought i would overcome. To be a Mom is hard, joyful, scary, difficult, empowering and adventures! Motherhood is a lot of things...for me, it's the best thing that has ever happened and more. I'm not a lost Puppy anymore, i've become determined and somehow powerful. A Lady once told me...Motherhood turns a Girl into a Woman. And she was right! It's the most Life changing thing that can happen to you...and believe you me ;-)...i know a thing about life changes. I've moved from my home country to an other. And i can tell you...Motherhood is more life changing then that. You discover things about yourself that you've didn't know before. Bad things and also good things. I had to overcome many fears to be the Mother that i wanted to be, and still i'm not quite there yet. Motherhood is a colorful journey.
I've started this Photography project to show what Motherhood is. I can't get every situation or feeling on a Picture. But i try to get as many captures as possible. It's a challenge to take a interesting Picture of simple things. Everyone can take a Picture of diapers or toys on the floor, but to try to get a point across with it is not that easy.

He told me he's going to need to change his Brothers Diapers! And there is also a pacifier! No one wants a screaming Baby all the way on your trip!

When a sleep deprived Mother is trying to hold it together. Trying to not lose
Her nerves...
Her patients...
Her confidence...
Then:
Today I left some dishes dirty,
The bed got made around 3:30.
The diapers soaked a little longer,
The odor grew a little stronger.
The crumbs I spilled the day before
Are staring at me from the floor.
The fingerprints there on the wall
Will likely be there still next fall.
The dirty streaks on those windowpanes
Will still be there next time it rains.
Shame on you, you sit and say,
Just what did you do today?
I held a baby till he slept,
I held a toddler while he wept.
I played a game of hide and seek,
I squeezed a toy so it would squeak.
I pulled a wagon, sang a song,
Taught a child right from wrong.
What did I do this whole day through?
Not much that shows, I guess that's true.
Unless you think that what I've done,
Might be important to someone
With deep green eyes and soft brown hair,
If that is true... I've done my share.

But it is not easy to really..really hold it together sometimes...I'm tired i want to sleep...

The case of the spilt yogurt.
What i found: yogurt on the carpet, yogurt container, towel, little people, and our dog
conclusion: "someone" spilt yogurt, tried to clean it up with that towel. when that didn't go so well that "someone" walked away. And properly put those little people there too...hmm i wonder who that was...it was not the dog....maybe i have to ask one of those little people, maybe they saw who that "someone" was ;-)
oh....did i already mention...I hate carpets! cleaning them when you have kids is a pain in the ass (sorry my language..but it's true!)
hmmmm, i wonder how many i've opened and closed so far in the past years.
Those are scratches of a hungry little Baby. They are not always cute and cuddly.
